I love it when I find a brand new band and, after listening to YYYs all week on repeat, I think it’s about bloody time!
Raised from the ashes of The Manhattan Love Suicides, The Medusa Snare epitomise ethereal, dreamy, indie magic pop. Their dark melodies, floaty and uplifting, drift among a reverberating, tumultuous sea of cavernous noise. Monster evokes a reverie of sultry summer days; whilst the stirring This is Not a War is reminiscent of The Jesus and Mary Chain’s Just Like Honey in its elevating malaise. In the vain of The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and the eerily sombre Crystal Stilts, The Medusa Snare is, equally, a force to take heed of.
