Almost Summerrrrrr

Announcing their presence with doomy, tribal drums and distorted guitars that resonate with ardour, Reading Rainbow are affecting in their simplicity. Their penetrating harmonies and monotone vocals are particularly beguiling. In many ways comparable to the likes of Dum Dum Girls, and with Velvet Underground undertones, this twosome purveys great, self styled lo-fi garage psychedelia, give them a listen:

In a similar vein, Eternal Summers’ songs shimmer with blithe, sunny elements; their poppy musings typify happiness. Able To, a breezy, playful number, couples bouncy, beachy vibes, with retro haze to create something that encapsulates the sound of a wispy summer. Hear them here:

Family Trees’ drowsy, dreamlike pop, jangles with shiny, cracked riffs and Beach Boy vocals, which ooze with harmonious tranquillity. Sporadic handclaps and the odd tambourine elevate their, already high spirited, songs to heady heights. Listen to their joyous tunes:

Beach Fossils are reminiscent of a slightly melancholic Vampire Weekend. Catchy melodies buzz through well thought out, captivating riffs to create an endearing array of summery tunes. Their songs sound somnolent and wistful; pensive, with intricate, inherent beauty and heavy with longing and anticipation. Check them out:
